Elderberry Transplanting
Conservation banks have been established to restore and permanently protect VELB habitat to offset impacts from development. Elderberry shrubs can only be pruned and/or removed when the beetle is not in its flight season.
Props Tree & Landscape, Inc. has successfully relocated over 5000 Elderberry shrubs. We are experience in identifying and transplanting Elderberry shrubs per the Conservation Guidelines for the Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle dated July 9, 1999. Our service includes properly trimming to avoid VELB eggs or larvae, excavation of the shrub, transporting to the conservation bank, re-planting, and installing watering basins.
We have worked with various mitigation specialist throughout the valley to contribute to the protection of the Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle and qualified for any project that requires the relocation of Elderberry shrubs.
